Our Web Design Process

Circle Digital takes meticulous care to make sure that your web site is designed to meet or exceed your expectations. We listen carefully to your ideas and goals for your site and create a site that you not only will be proud of, but will help you achieve the success that you desire.

Initial Consultation (free, no obligation):

We will discuss your overall goals and define your target market. We will talk about the look and feel of the site, and design guidelines such as color, layout and navigation.

A timeline and work schedule will be discussed at this point, and a plan to provide us with graphics and copy. During this consultation you will assign us a contact person at your company.

We will also discuss the pros and cons of an HTML and/or Flash site, and whether a Content Management System (CMS) would be an advantageous feature for your site.

Other options, such as building an automated Newsletter subcription page, and an Email Newsletter Campaign can be discussed.

At this stage we can also provide you with a ballpark budget, and discuss any other concerns that you might have.

Need a Writer?

Writing content for a web site is a specialized skill set, and Circle Digital has years of experince in writing both original content, or helping to re-write your promo materials to be ideal for a web environment.

Design Mockup:

Based on our Initial Consultation, we will provide for you with some design layout possibilities of your homepage. These design layouts will be created using Photoshop without any live links. A navigation map will also be provided upon your request. We will discuss and decide on any changes and refinements in regard to layout and design. We will solicit your approval before developing the prototype web site.

Prototype:

We will post the entire mock up web site for your private viewing. Prototypes include all graphics and text but allow for clients to make minor modifications. All pages will be fully navigable. Graphics will have been optimized for fast loading. Web pages will be designed to fit the typical users screen. We will solicit your approval.

Site Testing:

We will test the entire site in all popular browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox on both PC and Mac platforms to ensure all components are working correctly. The web site will be available for your private viewing on our server. We will solicit your final approval before publishing your web site to the internet.

Implementation of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) features:

As part of our web design process, we will at no additional charge submit your web site to the major search engines directories. In designing your web site, we implement Search-Engine-Friendly features, such as making it easy for search engines to index your site, chosing appropriate KEYWORDS and phrases, placing them in the TITLE, DESCRIPTION and KEYWORDS tags of your site, and including keywords in the content of the body text.

Publishing your Web Site

Once all the above steps have been approved and implemented, we will then publish your site at your specific Domain Name address.

Please note that Domain Name Registration and web site Hosting are two separate processes, and you are free to choose your own qualified Registrar (for your Domain Name), and also your choice of Hosting companies (where you park your site on the web). Although some companies offer Domain Name Registration and Hosting as a package, it is more common that they are separate.
